Silver Lake College of the Holy Family

Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is a four-year, co-educational institution founded in 1935 by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. Located in Manitowoc, WI, Silver Lake College offers an array of majors and programs for students from recent high school graduates to returning adults. Through an integrated Liberal Arts Curriculum with pre-professional studies, students at Silver Lake College develop the skills, values and concepts for empowerment, self-direction and motivation for lifelong learning, resulting in intellectual inquiry, integration, commitment and service. Silver Lake College is committed to making an exceptional degree program an affordable option for everyone. With significant educational funding available through a generous financial aid program, over 90% of our students apply for and receive financial aid each year.

Silver Lake College offers more than just a quality education. It provides opportunities for students to get involved and participate in campus events. From joining service committees, student forum, residence life to intercollegiate athletics, the College provides students with endless opportunities to grow and achieve success. Students have the opportunity to live in a newly renovated residence, Clare Hall, with the accommodations including private rooms, double rooms and suites with private bathrooms. Each floor has a variety of amenities including kitchenettes, exercise rooms, small group study rooms and student lounge spaces for students to gather and socialize.

As a returning adult, Silver Lake College’s degree completion programs are designed to meet the needs of the adult learner by providing an opportunity to use previously-earned technical college or university credits to complete a bachelor’s degree in a variety of majors. The College offers accelerated delivery options with new classes beginning every eight weeks in a variety of locations throughout the state. Conveniently scheduled classes meet once per week in the evening or on Saturdays, with completion of a bachelor’s degree possible in 2-3 years.

Silver Lake College also offers five graduate programs: Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior, Master of Arts in Education: Special Education, Master of Arts in Music: Kodaly, Master of Arts in Education: Teacher Leadership and Master of Arts in Education: Administrator Leadership.
